About Allied Speech

In 2025, Allied Speech was founded in Jacksonville, Florida with the goal of building a space where children could be supported as whole people — not just as goals on a treatment plan. A place where neurodiversity is respected, families are truly partnered with, and therapy feels warm, personalized, and meaningful.
Whether a child is developing early language, navigating autism, using AAC, or working through speech sound differences, our goal is always the same: to help them feel confident, capable, and understood.

Hi, I’m Catherine Huey, M.S., CCC-SLP — the founder of Allied Speech. I created Allied Speech to provide warm, individualized therapy for children and families. I’m passionate about helping children build communication skills through connection, play, and meaningful relationships.

I created Allied Speech to be a warm, welcoming space where therapy feels meaningful, collaborative, and tailored to each child’s unique strengths and needs. I love building connections with families and celebrating every step of a child’s communication journey.

Allied Speech is a private pay, out-of-network practice. We provide superbills for families seeking potential insurance reimbursement and are a direct provider for the Step Up For Students scholarship program.
